Income Eligibility Guidelines

What determines whether I qualify?

To qualify for SNAP, the Division of Public Assistance will consider your income, assets (what you own), expenses and the number of people in your household. The gross monthly income test is based on 130% of Alaska’s poverty standard.

You might still qualify for SNAP if you’re working, own a home, or already get benefits from other programs like SSI, SSDI, Unemployment and Senior Benefits.
